RE: Letter of Request to Host and participate in The 2nd Annual Commonwealth Lecture 2013

 
Commonwealth Peoples’ Association of Uganda (CPAUG) is an NGO registered in
Uganda in December 2005 to promote the Commonwealth values in Uganda and the Friends of the
Commonwealth-Uganda Chapter (FOCU) in partnership with stakeholders will be holding the above
captioned policy dialogue with the theme “Accessing Medicine by All: Achieving the Health Goals in Uganda by 2015”

We are requesting you to reserve us a Room in NPT Building for carrying out the 2nd Annual Commonwealth lecture on 4th/April/2013.
CPAUG is now implementing this project under its Lobby and Advocacy Programme with a thematic area called the CSO-Citizen Participation Project (CCP) that aims at reaching out to the Ugandan population and strengthening the role played by the Civil Society in the development process of the country by sharing information a network of CSOs/NGOs a per the UN Millennium Declaration
The purpose of the programme is to garner support towards the hea1th goals in Uganda through universal access to Medicine by all Ugandans aligned to the MDGs global campaign. The programme will help to reinforce the country’s roadmap towards the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the NDP and other government intervention health sector strategies (National Health Policy). (Project concept attached for you reference)
The purpose of this letter therefore to request for you to host this event on 4th April, 2013 at KYU with a mini-exhibition that is supported by National Medical Stores (NMS) and other stakeholders starting at 2pm-5:45pm.

CPAUG will be covering costs like refreshment, PA system, student’s mobilization and others over heads; we need a venue hall that can sit 200PAX and the participation of the students studying community development, guidance and counseling. Your presence as a Speaker or your representative to give some welcome remarks will be highly appreciated.
