Who is Robert Kikonyogo

Kikonyogo Robert is a Ugandan young leader and role model, passionate about issues related to social media, database management, website development, African youth, administration, microfinance, leadership and ICTs. He has received recognitions and fellowship awards including; African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (2015-2016), Internet Society fellow (ISOC), Research & Education Network of Uganda (RENU-2016), Diplo Foundation Internet Governance Courses in Advanced Cyber Security, E-Government, Internet Governance, Research Methodology, ICT Policy and Strategic Planning and Internet Governance Capacity Development Program.(2012, 2013 and 2014), United Nations Public Administration Network (UNPAN) and Afrinic (2013) respectively.

Robert has 11 years hands on working experience in both government and non-governmental organizations with a good bias in administration, communications, social media, Credit & Financial Management, as well as Micro Finance experience built over Eleven years with Finance Trust Bank, Shalom for Uganda, Kyambogo University, Ashoka and African Union Youth Volunteer Corps as Communications and Social Media Associate, Lecturer, Project Manager, Webmaster, IT Technician, Website Officer and Credit Officer respectively. He has attained vast practical experience teaching, microfinance, social media management, and supervision and Risk management, Credit Management, Banking, Training and Administration. Robert is an enthusiastic and high-achieving IT professional with an internationally-recognized Cisco Certified Network Associate qualification. He’s proficient in Dreamweaver, Joomla, Photoshop, Adobe Master Collection CS6, Cyber Link Power Director, Xara web designing, Joomla, 2D/3D Dimension designing,  Microsoft Project, SPSS, Epi info, Epi Data and MySQL Workbench. 

Kyambogo University (KYU) is Uganda’s third public University established by the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001 and the Universities and Other Tertiary institutions’ (Establishment of Kyambogo University) instruments of 2003. It is a merger of the former Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo (UPK), the Institute of Teacher Education, Kyambogo (ITEK), and the Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE).
